Bottle from trade. Pours a rich black color with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and molasses. Taste is semi sweet chocolate and licorice. Has slightly bitter, acidic, metal type flavor in the finish. Decent RIS.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown body with a tan head. Roasty bitterness, full bodied with a chewy dark fruits and lingering coffee. Brown sugar and vanilla. Not bad at all.

Bottle shared by OhioDad at C-Bus 6, thanks! Black pour with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt and light coffee. Flavor of liqourice, chocolate, and some roasted malts. Solid body with a nice roasty finish.

DArk black pour, reddish color around the edges. Scant, quick fading tan head. Nose is very sweet, figs, prunes, some coffee. Mouthfeel is somewhat light, moderate carbonation. Flavor starts with coffee and finishes with a nice lingering hoppy bitterness.

22oz bottle from TURDFERGUSON. Aroma: Chocolate, caramel, popcorn, coffee, anise, light smoke. Some molasses comes out as it warms. Appearance: Black in color with small dark brown highlights. Small medium tan head was small and frothy with fair retention. Nice lacing. Flavor: Creamy chocolate, coffee, smoke, anise, caramel, molasses, and a touch of dark fruit. Some grassy hop flavor into the finish. Medium-high bitterness. Finishes with a bit of astringency. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Moderate carbonation. Light alcohol warming in back of the mouth. Overall: A decent IS overall. A little thin in mouthfeel and a bit of astringency, but pretty good overall.

Bottle; poured a dark reddish/brown with a light brown head. Aroma was actually really good; booze, caramel, roasted malt, fruit, cocoa and molasses. I really liked the aroma. If only the flavor was as good! Not saying it is bad, but it just didn’t live up the nose. Pretty easy to drink, as the flavors were somewhat mellow and not hugely assertive.

Pours black from bomber, forming nice size light brown head of foam. Aroma has notes of coffee, chocolate, raisin, apple, slight smoke, and a hint of earthy woodiness. Flavour was dominated by roasted malt, char, and espresso along with some dark chocolate in the finish. Overall the taste is slightly sweeter than expected, but very good overall. A tastey, well made impy stout beer.

bottle....poured dark brown close to black with lasting light brown head...nose primarily consisted of chocolate, cocoa, and sweet dark fruity malt....flavors added a roasted coffee dimension that enhanced the beer overall. mouthfeel was somewhat on the lighter side but nice nonetheless....not a bad imperial stout.
