COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This rich copper colored ale is unequaled in flavor and aroma and has a perfect malt-hop balance.

Bottle. Hop and grainy flavors. Bitter. I liked how rich this beer was.

Pours an amber color with a nice head from the bottle. It smells sweet with a bit of spices and herbs in the nose. It is a thick IPA and a bit bitter. I found it to be very balanced. I thought the hops and the malts fought each other nicely leaving a good after taste on the palate. I enjoyed this one.

Toasted biscuit and herbal hops nose. Sweet and almost honeyed palate with notes of roast and pine. Big mouthfeel with more malt than one would expect for the style. Clean and lingering finish.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2004 Nice amber color with a rocky and frothy head. Sweet, biscuity-yeasty nose. Creamy and rich mouthfeel; nicely carbonated. Malts had notes of freshly baked bread and fresh yeast. Wholesome, toasty and earthy. Slight sourness. Nicely balanced IPA, although it had a malt slant.

Quite nice. dark orange color. very hop floral aroma. it is one of the sweeter IPA that i have had and liked. starts sweet and definitely allows you to experience some hop bitterness in the middle but that is cleared away by the sweetness returning.

On tap GABF ’02: Amber color, flowery/spruce aroma. Starts sweet and ends even sweeter.

I love this beer, a wonderful dark (I know) and the hops! This is a great beer, all hopheads must go to Fortuna and give this a try.

Dark for an IPA with some amber, excellent floral aroma with a hint of vine. There’s some significant sweetness -- what if it aged longer? Still very expansive with bursting hop and a hin of dark roast finish.
