Draft at CAH 3Q 09. Pours hazy dark brown with off-khaki head. Nose is dark malt, earthy, teasty, with cacao. Tastes of yeasty earthy dark malt, backup hops, brown sugar, and some tart figgy fruit late.

Red-brown apportioned with an ok head. Phenolic and malty nose. Clovey, musky maltiness. Medium-bodied with candi malt influences and a good range of mid-spectrum malts probably including caramunich and crystal varieties.

Draught at TND: Aroma of malt, yeast, and a hint of brown sugar. Poured brown/copper/very deep amber in color with a large, creamy, loose, tan head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling in the beginning but not sparkling after a few minutes. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of lots of yeast, malt, slight spices from the yeast, and a hint of brown sugar. Medium body. Dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Malt and yeast finish.

On tap at Beachwood about a week ago. Poured a dark reddish/brown color with a khaki colored head. Aroam of sweet malt, fruit, yeast and caramel. Flavor was much of the same; quite fruity and yeasty. Interesting fusion.
