(22 oz. bottle from Bootleggers) Caramel and booze...Pours hazy dark caramel amber with two and a half fingers of light caramel amber biege head. Head recedes to about 1/4" and retains well. Aroma of dark sweet caramel and vanilla. Mouthfeel full and fairly smooth. Big weepy rings of lacing. Flavor is malty, dark sweet almost smoky caramel, lightly toasted or burnt. Boozy with quite an alcohol presence but not overpowering. Also fairly strong hoppiness overlays and emerges more toward finish giving a nice bitter bite. Pretty nice beer although a little one-dimensional. Might be an interresting one to age.

Reddish-amber with tan head. Brown sugar aromas. Some hops tame the sweetness. Slightly metallic. Hint of maple too. Soft, gentle carbonation. Bready. Balanced, mild flavors with banana, walnuts, and plums detected.

Shared with the crystal coast crew, DrBayern, and doboy. Poured from 22oz bomber a nice mahogany brown, forming off white foamy head. This beer looks sexy in my chimay goblet, aroma of fruity malts, brown sugar gunk, and roasted malted hops. Flavour is of a smooth, malted goodness. Caramel, hops, toffee, rock candy, along with a slight dark fruitiness, gives this beer a special taste. A really lovely experience of beer, tremendous.

Brownish colour with enormous off-white head that was bubbly and lacey. Funkey aroma. Brandyish taste, that was both a soft caramel mouthfeel but also sourish.Well, silly me. Thought it was going to be a triple Belgium and thought it was of. In fact, as an old ale well yes. And all me super-beer geeks did not also get it so I don’t feel so bad.

Enjoyed in an afternoon session with drbayern and the supplier, celticbrew. Too bad Steve left early! It poured a dark mahognay brown color with a very light tan head. The beer looked Mav-a lus! A very rich mouthfeel and a nice toasted malt flavor, with a touch of sweetness. Very easy to drink!
