22oz bottle aged at least one year. I just finished a small glass of Big Dicks Old Ale. I can tell from one sniff that this will be a completely different experience. The pour is dark, dark brown. The head consists of only a clump of white bubbles in the middle. The aroma is sweet but earthy, and very rich. There is some smoky notes here as well, which I’m really enjoying. Rich, sweet, a little smoky and a tight dry finish. Quality old ale.

does not count  Aug 14, 2008 A thick dark brown color with a tan head. It looks thick but is suprisingly smooth. It tastes a little bitter but not overly so.

Aug 13, 2008 Pours a dark copper ruby brown with a one finger creamy tan head. The nose is sweet, fruity, fig, fusel alcohol, malty. The flavor is malty, sharp dry fusel alcohol, fruity, astringent hop bitterness at the back of the mouth. In the end the bitterness at the back of the throat killed this one for me.

Aug 13, 2008 The color was amber. The head was thin, creamy, and off-white. The aroma was sweet, alcohol, and spice. The flavor was heavy spice, harsh alcohol, and hops. The palate was well carbonated. The finish was warm.

Aug 1, 2008 22oz bottle. Dark ruby red color, very nice looking. off white head. Aroma of slight malt and a bit metallic. Very rich flavor, kind of thick on the tongue, can taste a bit of alcohol as well, very warming. pretty damn good beer

Jul 28, 2008 Dark amber pour with nice sized brown head. Dried fruit with pancake syrup nose. Flavor is heavy with sweetness from dried fruit and malt. Nice body and heat from the alcohol. A good bit of hops that show their color towards the finish.
