3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Papago Brewing in Phoenix. This was absolutely delicious. Notes of vanilla and pear over a great, intense, wonderfully sharp classic American strong ale taste. Caramel malt holds it all together. A perfect balance. Highly recommended.

Nice flavors and aroma for a big ale. Tastes a little thin for a 9.7% beer though.

From a bomber poured in a snifter. Strong malty aroma. Pours ruddy slightly cloudy dark copper. Flavor is rich malty and sweet. Noticeable alcohol burn, probably a little too pronounced. Very malty and boozy. Good triple, but not a standout.

Brown pour, beige head. Dark toffee, some fruity notes, more hops than I expected and some pumpernickel bread.

Love the style and this is a nice example. Plus the added hops, ABV, and organic. Worth a try!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle cheers to Joel for the PBS tasting. Murky brown pour with a small, sticky khaki head. Nose shows a heap of powdered chocolate and heavy prunes. A touch of smoke comes through giving it a meaty characteristic. Nice. Taste is that smoky, powdery chocolate with some heavy prune and sultana notes. Dark fruits and dry chocolate at the forefront with some underlying brown sugars and vanilla behind it all. Damn balanced and the booze is hidden well giving away only a touch of heat right at the finish. Very good stuff

22oz bottle. Clear amber with a foamy beige head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, fruity yeast esters, bread dough and alcohol. Flavor is strong toffee, bitter hops, alcohol warming and light roast. Medium body with a soft mouth feel. Nice beer, the bitterness balances out the malt sweetness.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma of dark fruits and malts. Pours a hazy mahogany with rubby highlights, a mostly diminishing tan head and aboundent lacing. The taste is lightly sweet - malt forward. Toasted malts, nuts, caramel, dark fruit, with suggestions of molasses and slight hoppy finish. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, a somewhat complex andtasty beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep glowing gold. Light smells malty. Carmel sweet taste. It bounces between malty sweet and hoppy bitter. The mouth feel is definitely sticky and a bit syrupy in feel.
