3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Flyer (118) - Hartland, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 9, 2008On tap at Papago Brewing in Phoenix. This was absolutely delicious. Notes of vanilla and pear over a great, intense, wonderfully sharp classic American strong ale taste. Caramel malt holds it all together. A perfect balance. Highly recommended.

Bomber from BevMo Salinas. Nose is toffee, hints of pine and molasses, and some very light background roast. Clear rust with a medium, heavy lacing beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter with notes of tobacco and roast.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 doublebock (450) - California, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Appearance: Clear amber with beige head
Aroma: Peaty and malty
Taste: Sweet malty body similar to double bock. I’m getting a fair amount of smokiness. The finish has a noticeable hoppy kick.
Overall: An interesting bock-pale ale hybrid that is easy drinking but nothing extraordinary in terms of complexity.

Slightly hazy pour of dark brown under a creamy off-white head.
Aroma of toffee and molasses.
The flavor is sweet on the front with some moderate hop bitterness building into the finish.
Decent Old Ale, but not overly complex.

Tastes like the Old Stock Ale from the North Coast Brewery. The flavor is comparable to a barley wine. Very malty. The beer pours a cloudy amber with a whitish brown head. This beer is very boozy. Basically if you’ve had an old ale before, you’ve had this beer. Nothing amazing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DocJitsu (306) - California, USA - MAR 30, 2013
Pours a nice, deep amber color with a two finger light tan head. The head retains relatively well. Sticky foam laces the glass as the head attenuates. Butterscotch cream up front. The mouthfeel accentuates the finish, which is a little to bitter for this style. The alcohol warmth that appears at the end further exacerbates the unappealing finish.

Great example of an Old English style Ale. Complex Aroma with great malts and big alcohol content but doesnt overpower the flavor. You will like this one!

great, malty, strong beer. Aroma is strong alco with malty barley and figs. Looks amber red brown with nice foam and good legs. Taste is raisin, dates, figs, malt, and wood. Palate is rich mouthfeel and thin layers of malt. Overall its great, strong rich mouthfeel, smooth creamy and delicious. The almost 10% abv is hidden but its still there.
