Clean copper body with big, form off white head. Tasty smelling aroma of noble hops, leaves, fresh yeast, bit earthy and orange peel. Taste is quite straightforward bitter but with lots of flavour. Maybe plain but very tasty. Drinkable, smooth palate too. And that drinkability is further enhanced with the short but fine aftertaste. Very decent bitter and glad this brewer takes the challenge of making a bitter at all. Fairly priced too. (33cl bottle)

Cloudy orange color, thick rocky head. Aroma of sweet citrus, hop and some bubblegum, some vanilla. Taste is very bitter, but also sweet. It reminds me of an Orval, but then thinner and more watery. But as a beginning brewery, very promising.

Aroma is yeasty, citric (oranges), bit hoppy and caramel malty.Cloudy, dark orange, off-white, creamy and rocky head. Taste is sweet, bitter, citric (oranges), bit yeasty, hoppy and some malts. More like a belgian style bitter. Bit watery body. Smooth beer. Very nice brew.

On tap at In De Wildeman on 5 April 2011. Noted at 6.5%. Hazy pale amber colour. Good firm spicy hops in the aroma. Moderate bitterness on the palate with some citric grapefruit hop character. Straightforward but rather tasty and very drinkable for a 6.5% "bitter". Not much like a UK bitter though. More like those Belgian "bitters" such as De Ranke XX I’d say.

On tap at Gollem, Amsterdam. Pale amber with white head. Quite a sweetish beer initially with a gentle herby note, it’s one that grows on you gently and eventually offers a decent malty hoppy flavour, reasonable.

Bottle, 6.8%. OK malty aroma, hint of Belgian yeast, brown sugar, slightly spicy. Amber colour, many small floaties. The flavour is sweet and nicely spicy with a little fat Belgian yeast. Medium bitterness.

Bottled St Albans BF 09. A hazy light amber coloured beer with a nice thick off-white coloured head and laicng. The aroma has good hops and some berry malts. Full bodied in the mouth with Belgian yeastiness and a bit of peppery hop. More an overhopped Belgian ale than anything else.

Bottle from Bierkoning. Golden body with huge head. Nice malty flavour with lots of spices. Then gets bitter, with nice taste of coriander. Nice dry and spicy finish. Good one.
