(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 26 Aug 2015) Golden colour with frothy, white head, leaving traces of lacing. Malty, fruity nose with notes of grass, peaches and orange. Malty, fruity taste with cereal, peaches, canned fruit and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Bottle from Bert’s Bierhuis in Utrecht. The beer is deep golden colored and has a stable and small white head, with average carbonation. The aroma is fruity and malty, with tones of citrus, honey, malts, caramel and a hint of spices. Taste is medium bodied and sweet with tones from the aroma, and a light bitter and spicy end, with a hint of warming alcohol. OK blonde, but not a brilliant beer.

Aroma of malt, sweet fruits, citrus, yeast, soap, sugary notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bitterness in the aftertaste. Soapy dishwater finish. Too bad.

NIce slightly cloudy beer with a nice head. aroma of malts and somekight roasted smell (simular to Westmalle Tripel). Good carbonation, good mixture of malts and hops. Feels stronger than a blonde of 6%, more like 8-9%. Nice!

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2015 Blonde thirst-quencher from a Dutch beer company, tasted in the De Prael version years ago. Off-white, regular head and orange blonde colour with large, unappetizing protein flakes. Aroma of caramel, bitter honey, biscuit, unripe peach, apple peel, grapefruit. Fresh citrussy onset, some sweetish malts, bit nutty, clean, finishing with grassy and bit citrussy hops.

6.2%, 33cl bottle @ home from Bert’s Bierhuis. Clear to cloudy golden yellow color, medium white head. Aroma light pilsener malt in the nose, flavor is light citrus, moderated belgian yeast, floral, honey, hint of caramel, bit more hoppy than a general blond beer. Taste medium sweetness, lightly bitter, light umami. Light to medium body, thin feel, average carbonation, light bitter-sweet finish. Light refreshing beer, not very interesting, but a bit better than most of the blond beers.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes goldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, malzig süß, leicht würzig. Geschmack leicht hefig, fruchtig malzig, Gewürze, blumig.
