330 ml stubby bottle, at home. Poured into a snifter. ABV 6.9% Deep chestnut colout, with some lively activity in the glass. On top, two full fingers of off-white head with very good retention. Aroma is mostly light roasted malts along with some caramel. Very nice taste, roasted malts at first and slighty sweet, turns to bitter pretty fast with very tasty chocolate notes. On the aftertaste a light metallic flavour, but nothing too offensive. Meduim to full body, carbonation a bit above average. Overall a nice bok beer, more bitter than the sweet bocks I was used to but delicious. I’m glad I picked this up.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2013 33cl bottle shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear red color, full sized dense off-white to beige head that lasts for a long time. Smell malts, a bit sweet-bitter and quite fruity. Taste malts, again sweet-bitter and some dark fruits. Decent balance, lightly fizzy carbonation not disturbing though, medium body. Quite useful.

Bottle from Daily Delis. Dark amber body with poppy thin head. Nose is roasty malts, sweet, fruity, yeasty. Taste is caramel, malts, gets smokier, then vanilla chocolate notes. Pretty interested. But also a general burned taste to it. Certainly warms you up just fine. Some bitter in the finish.

Dark amber color, nice creamy head. Mild caramel aroma. Good caramel flavor, with moderate sweetness and light bottom fermentation fruity touch; clean like German beers, but with more flavor than the average bock. Good!

Nice full brown body and beige head. Nice rich aroma with nutty base malts, caramel and toast but certainly enough hop backup. Nice. Taste is smooth, active body and enough bitterness. Well made! Probably my favourite of the festival (that I tasted). (On tap at Utrechts Bokbierfestival, thanks to Jos for getting this :-)
