On tap at Pint Bokbierfestival 09. Dark reddish brown colour, off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, light spices. Flavour is roasted malts, almost burnt, light spicy with coriander, light smoke, good bitter finish. Medium bodied. Good.

Ah yes, Bierkoning is right, raw fresh pineapple. but lasting is the bitterness and not the nice flavors.

Bottle from De Bierkoning. Deep dark brown color. Maltaroma with pineapple. Malty sweet, soft roasty flavor with a touch of smoke and a hint of cheap Scotch whisky. The whisky malt gives this standard bock just the extra edge.

Bottle from Bierkoning. Dark brown body with thin white head. Malty and slightly smoky nose. Taste of ham, then smoke. Malty finish. A bit watery but also quite crisp. The Smoke is too much for me, not as sweet as boks often are. But nice nonetheless.
