Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, fruity notes, raisins, chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Rather strong flavour. As Dubbels go this one is quite alright, nice hoppy bitterness.

Beautiful ruby red colour beer, very dark but transparent, with a weak frothy head. Smell is caramel, sourwood and pungent rotten alcohol sweetness. Bitter salty leather. Hint of chocolate. Taste is bitter watery with a creamy mouthfeel. Warming fizziness with a resin astringent finish. Great balance, a subtle fusion between a Belgian double and an IPA.

Starts as an ordinary dubbel, but ends on a fruity note. Unexpectadly fresh, I liked it.
