3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, - AUG 20, 2011
(Bottled) Very hazy dark brown with a medium, creamy head. Aroma of lightly roasted, caramely malt, dried fruit and yeast. Flavor is dried-fruity, lightly sweet, caramely-roasty, also somewhat bitter. Medium to full body, fizzy but still overall quite soft CO2. A quite nice, dryish dubbel with more than the usual share of roastiness and hops. 4446

Hazy ruby brown colour with a big off-white head. Beer gushed slightly when opened. Smells yeast, alcohol, sharp. Tastes caramel, liquorice, chocolate. Quite a surprise, a bit stout like. Also some iron and rust taste, which is a shame. Slightly watery though, a lot of carbo.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 erickok (1074) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - JAN 29, 2012
Dark brown, with a glow, small head. Mellow aroma, some caramel, raisin, bit of rye bread, sour apples. Nice though. Taste is more boring, light bitterness, easily drinkable. Fairly long aftertaste. Nothing wrong with the texture at all really. Accessible and well brewed, but passable for the advanced drinker. (33cl bottle)

Not a very fair total score in the end, just don’t care much for the aroma and appearance. I like the spices in this beer, with some sourness and fizzy alcohol. Bottle from Van Erp in Groningen

Nice amber colored beer with an average sized off-white head. Decent smell and taste but too much carbonation. Very fizzy and lively, overwhelming the taste.
