2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Medium sized, vast and slowly changing, beige creamy colored foamy head on top of a deep dark red beer, when hold in the light it appears to be an almost clear deep ruby colored beer.
The aroma is nothing like an IPA, a thin mix of caramel, autumnal herbs, brown sugars/molasses, grains, a hint of sharp hop citrus and stingy herbs.
The flavours are like the aroma nothing like an IPA: yeast, sharper herbs, hint of hops, bitter, sharper herbs, stingy hops, malts, nuts, caramel, meal, porridge and dusty malts.
Aftertaste is bitter with herbs, yeast, wood, malts and (sharper) herbs.
Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium body and a light creamy texture.
I hope I had a wrong bottle, if not, this is not a good IPA, while I had other IPA’s from this brewery that were pretty ok, this beer does not come close to those beers, let alone IPA’s in general. Pity!

33cl bottle at home from Flink Gegist, Delft. Body is clear deep ruby, head is small, beige, mostly diminishing, good lacing. Nose is floral, flavor is honey, fruity, berry, caramel, mandarin, orange peel, light spices. Medium to heavy sweet light bitter, slightly fruity sour. Finish is medium lasting light sweet, medium to heavy hoppy bitter. Medium to full body, dry sticky texture, soft carbonation. Easy, refreshing, quite good.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep, dark color. Smell has some caramel tones. Not a typical IPA, sweeter, but yet really bitter and mouty!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of malt, caramel, fruits, red berries, herbal notes, hops. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Solid body. IPA is a bit of a stretch, more like a hoppy winter ale.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared at chriso’s May 2014 tasting - London. Pours clear, rich amber with a white cream head. Tangy and meaty fruits on the nose. Medium sweet flavor, tangy, with bread, berries, some leaves and earth. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet to finish with light tangy and leathery fruits. Not too bad.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted in bottle. Lots of malt and not very hoppy. Does not smell like much. Tastes a bit sweet and rounded. It gained some points after being out of the fridge for a while.

Tasting at the ever gracious ChrisO’s. Lightly hazy amber beer, good cream coloured head. Palate is airy with light fine carbonation. Tangy toffee malts, slightly oxidised. Tangy dried fruits. Light semi dry finish. Tangy! Too much so!
