2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2012 330ml bottle, best before 15/02/12, drunk in December 2011. Reddish brown colour. Full-on sweet coffee extract aroma with a very artificial feel. More of the same on the palate. Nothing very beer-like here - seemed more like a soft drink really. Surprised to see it is 6.1%. Sweet and thin. Not really my thing.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Pat’s birthday tasting at chriso’s. Pours clear brown with a foamy, white head. Sweet coffee nose. Cappuccino. Very sweet flavor, mocha, creamy cappuccino. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, more mocha. I would say the beer is heavily underrated.

1.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle at Pat’s birthday tasting at Chriso’s. Colour is clear dark brown. Nose is very very sugary black coffee. Brown sugar and lactic notes. Taste is sweet sweet black coffee. Thin but cloying as if you’d put 10 brown sugars in a cold black instant coffee. Sickly.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled 330ml. -Brown coloured, medium sized pale brown head, coffee nose with hint of chocolate. Sweet coffee chocolate taste with slightly watery palate. Simple and not so sugary beer as I’ve expected. Pleasant coffee caramel finish and aftertaste. I’m not so big coffee fan but this one is quite nice and also underrated.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very hazy dark brown body with a thinnish tan head that shows well and a very cloudy body. Aroma of brown sugar, cardamom, light spices and a bunch of malt - nice actually. Medium-bodied; Assertive malt and alcohol flavour with a pungency of nuts and light spices with a good finish of brown sugar. Aftertaste shows a lot of character, mostly a roasted peat flavour with some nice sweetness and quite a bit of malt and nuts. Overall, a nice beer with suprisingly good flavour and complexity. Nice to sample - I sampled this 50 cL can purchased on the streets of Istanbul, Turkey purchased for TL3,50 in Istanbul on 15-August-2011 sampled the same day.

from Belek, Turkey - clear ruby-brown beer with a solid and creamy beige head; correct lacework; a fair aroma of mocha, toasted with biscuity notes; medium-bodied and creamy palate, moderate sweetness and a low bitterness; long coffeish aftertaste with light chocolatey notes - not bad at all
