3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Leighton (6961) - London, ENGLAND - DEC 10, 2011
Bottle at Pat’s birthday tasting at chriso’s. Pours clear brown with a foamy, white head. Sweet coffee nose. Cappuccino. Very sweet flavor, mocha, creamy cappuccino. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, more mocha. I would say the beer is heavily underrated.

Bottle as pictured, clear bottle with brown beer. Smells very strongly of coffee, I mean serious coffee smell? Taste is similar but mouthfeel is pretty thin. This is just a meh brown ale. I love coffee beers so I’ll rate this higher than most, probably.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BlackHaddock (2365) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2012
By far the best beer I found while on holiday in Turkey (of the 12 tried) in July 2010.
33cl brown twist top bottle (with the ’O’ in brown shaped like a coffee bean). The beer was poured into a pint handled glass mug and looked fine. A coffee dark brown body (what a suprise given it’s name) and a cream coloured head that gave no lacing and disappeared completely after 20 seconds.
The smell was all coffee and mocca, as was the taste.
I would have liked more body depth, but for a lager based coffee beer it was otherwise very good. The beer was semi-sweet and heavily carbonated.
As I stated earlier the best beer I found in Turkey.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 ogivlado (4990) - Zagreb, CROATIA - NOV 14, 2011
Bottled 330ml. -Brown coloured, medium sized pale brown head, coffee nose with hint of chocolate. Sweet coffee chocolate taste with slightly watery palate. Simple and not so sugary beer as I’ve expected. Pleasant coffee caramel finish and aftertaste. I’m not so big coffee fan but this one is quite nice and also underrated.
