Slightly caramel aroma. Lovely dark brown appearance. Treacly caramel undertones and not so fizzy for a bottle.

Drank this one several times in 2012 and 2013. Out of the three Turkish beers I tried this was the best one. Caramel and roasted malt.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
330 ml bottle.
Appearance: Dark brown colour with a smallish head of finger light creamish. Retention is not that great, but for a Efes brew it looks good.
Aroma:Sweetish malts, caramel, cola like, some rye. A bit to soft drinkish.
Taste: Quite sweet watery thin, glucose syrup , A lot of malty tones you will find in a dark non alcoholic malr drinks (vitamalz ?), caramel and a bit of rye.
Thin body, soft carbonation.
Don’t kow what’s the idea behind this but, in an Islamic country why wouldn’t they make it like non alcoholic German Maltdrinks without alcohol, the taste is allmost the same and it could open up new markets.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
7 euros at Istanbul airport pours a dark brown with reddish hues. 1 finger yellowish creamy head. Nose is sweet with caramel aroma some burnt malts, fig and watermelon. Butterscotch taste and some more fig, raisin and sweet bread. Standard lager but the dark malts do help a little bit. Certainly not a $10 beer.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
330 ml bottle. At the İstanbul Atatürk Airport, Turkey.
Dark brown colour.
Sweetish malty aroma with rye and burnt non-alcoholic beer notes.
The flavour is sweet malt, burnt malt, sugar and mild rye notes. Somehow the flavour is quite close to a non-alcoholic beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
can @ home. Brown to dark copper color of the liquid and a light beige thick head with some nice lacing. Sweet aroma of toffee, plums, brown sugar, some milk chocolate and malt extract. Medium bodied with a smooth and oily texture, and medium carbonation. Sweet flavors of toffee, caramel, dark syrup and milk chocolate are replaced by a drier nutty finish with some coffee and lingering herbal hints.
