Bready, decent foam head, lighter body than even a normal PL w/distinct lemon overtones, but certainly not awful

22/III/14 - 50cl bottle from the local Turkish supermarket (Gent) @ T.ís new place - BB: 26/VII/14, produced: 26/XI/13 (2014-304) Thanks to T. for the bottle!

Clear pale yellow beer, irregular soapy foamy head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: grains, malty, bit sweet. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit sweet, malty, grains, hay, a German touch to it. Aftertaste: grains, sweet, little bitter, metallic touch, hay. Not too bad.

Bottle from B&M Canterbury, clear pale gold with lasting thick white head. Some lemon fruit on the aroma. Some ok pale malts too. Itís not terrible. Mind you Iím drinking it with some spicy chicken so it goes quite well. Cooling the mouth down. But itís not terrible. Iíve had far worse pale lagers. I even had some plain bread to make sure my palate was clean. Itís fine. Definitely works well with the spicy chicken salad.

50cl butelka. OCZY : Piwo ma kolor żůłto-złoty a piane ma średniej wielkości o kolorze białym. Dosyć szybko zanika. NOS : typowy zapach jasnego słodu podobny do chleba lub krakersůw. Aromaty cytrynowe i trawa. USTA : piwo jest wodniste i dobrze gazowane. Piwo jest średnio słodkie, bardziej wytrawne o smaku cytrusůw. Koniec jest kwaskowaty. Posmak metalu i trawy. ODCZUCIA : lepsze od Fanty ? OCENA : smak : 2/10 pijalność : 6/10

Beese (1139) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2014
Bottle from an unknown supermarket. Poured a clear, pale golden colour with a thin white head and visible carbonation. Aroma of light corn, mild dough and carbonated water. Not much going on taste wise; very light with some cereal and light lemon zest. Finish was equally nothingy; some mild sweetness, but mostly just like drinking bottled carbonated water. Very little happening, but in its defence there werenít any unpleasant flavours.

Pale gold with a thick white lasting head. Light lemony nose with a little syrup sweetness. Taste is a bit of "false" lemon and then a bulk of syrupy corn sweetness. The more flavour you try to pull out of it... the worse it starts to taste. Icky. You can slurp it down swiftly for a cool lager drink, but donít try and extract the flavour from it - itís very sweet and icky.
