2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2005 I’ve learned not to expect too much from countries that don’t make much use of the biggest beer market, and this one doesn’t disappoint that expectation. It poured a golden color with good beading and a medium white head... that evaporated almost immediately. The carbonation fled, as well. The aroma’s a bit skunky, sweet, metallic, grassy. The flavor’s not too bad, sweet malt with a hint of hops. There’s corn, at least, here. Sticky sweet finish. But at least I’ve had a brew from Turkey.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
White head medium size, nice rocky collapse and lacing. Very pale body. Some hops aroma. Very fizzy palate. Hint of malt. Light bodied with a lingering slight bitterness. Tastes quite sweet but adjunct sweet, not malt. Seems to have a mild aftertaste that kicks in some time later, quite "wet cardboardy".

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very pale yellow (straw colored?) out of the bottle with a thin, fizzy white head. Not a skunky as I was prepared for, but still the aroma was dominated by corn and skunk. Mostly corn and white sugar sweetness with a faint bitterness in the finish. Not as bad as the other random country beers I’ve had tonight.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
This beer was from a 500ml can puchased in Germany, it was very skunky and the flavor was bad, no hops at all, tasted like metal, I will try this again in a glass bottle if possible

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
In the bottle. Had this in the Munich airport of all places. I did not know what I was ordering until I read the label and saw that it was made in Turkey. This may have been the most boring beer of the trip. Not skunky, but not memorable either. Head was mild, but lasting with lacing on the glass. The flavor could not overcome the cigarette smoke all around me.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
A blond and bland pilsener, with a pathetic head, weak almost artificial smelling aroma, and bland and boring taste. Didn’t expect much from a Turkish beer, and certainly didn’t get much.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Blond pilsener with a small quickly disapearing head. Weak aroma of hop and some detergent. The taste is rather bland with a light bitterness. On a hot day in Turkey it is probably quite ok, otherwise not.

3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A gentle golden color anoints this malty brew. The nose is slightly hoppy, with the breath of a Canadian Lager. The palate is of slight tart apple flavor, which leaves a subtle sweetness in your mouth and finishes crisp and dry.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Average size white head sat on top of a pale straw to almost golden clear body. Good layers of lacing left on the way down the glass, head almost lasting the distance. Light in aroma, slight hops and yeast. Green apples in the taste, pleasant enough bitterness but not a lot of flavour to go with it. Some oiliness in the finish, light body and not much else to report.
