1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pale yellow gold, stinky wet-hair aroma. Thin pale lager palate with some extra corny sweetness that isn’t very pleasant. Average at best, and that may be being generous.

1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle (from Tesco, BBE Apr 07). Very pale. Sweet cereal and slight metallic. Quite boring with minimal flavour. Other than the colour and sweetness it wouldnt take too much of a leap of the imagination to think yourself drinking fizzy water, cool and refreshing yes, interesting no.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Pour is a clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is burnt maltyness. Flavor is very watery, grainy and bland. Nothing happing here and this does not taste like any pilsner I have ever had.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
this beer was sampled in the hot turkish sun. although it momentarily quenched my thirst, the aftertaste was very bad. tasted watery, ricey, and bland. must be a good beer to throw off that heat, but definitely not for taste

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Sampled straight from the bottle, but do these global swills really need an appearance rating? Anyway, they smell was corn and light skunk. The flavor was metallic, plastic, odd-ball chemicals, oxidation, light grass, light caramel, and a nasty candy toffee sweetness at the same time. I took a world beer tour last summer and this year’s is perhaps a little worse. Neat to get the stamps in the old beer passport, but I’m not coming back to this one.... unless, well, I get trapped in Turkey or something for like 10 or more days.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a lackluster gold with minimal head and carbonation. Aroma is sweet hay, with bits of sour honey. Flavor is surprisingly crisp, with a bit of malted hoppiness. Not much taste, but it’s not as offensive as I thought it would be. Watery palate. Might make for a good backyard barbeque beer, but not much else.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2006 Bottle served in a cold glass. Not much aroma or taste to speak of. It was light in color and taste, slightly aspartic. Not great but what do you expect from a country where drinking is prohibited by much of the population.

1.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
UPDATED: OCT 17, 2006 Horrible stuff. Extremely light opaque color, foul taste. Aroma of rice and an abrupt finish. Nothing good at all.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Nothing really special about this Pilsner, a bit bland, much of a muchness, ok I suppose but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Bottled. Pours a light golden body with small head. Strong grassy/hoppy scent. Malty flavor. OK finish. An OK beer.
