Yes, this beer is not a pilsner, rather a pale lagar. And in my opinion, it is an avarage one with pale yellow body and a small head, some sweet malt aroma, lagery taste of yeast and pale malt, moderated carbonation. Avarage one, but i respect it because the rules of islamic religion.

Had this once at Talullaís in Chapel Hill and then again multiple times in Istanbul. Wasnít expecting much and didnít get much either. Certainly not a Pilsner- not sure why these beers outside Czechy insist they are PIlsners- but does well as a pale lager but I would not recommend it. No head and too much carbonation. Needs to be served cold with Turkish food and it is alright at best. IF warmer and had by itself its flaws come out easily: Way too sweet with notes of corn. Iím not sure where the hops went but its clear most of the barley has been replaced by rice to save money. Definitely under par but its found all over the place in Turkey so itís hard to miss.

33 cl bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a clear light golden color with a one and a 1/4 finger thick white head. Has some moderate carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma is sweet grain and herbal hops. Flavor is mostly grain but not too sweet. Little hop flavor. Light to medium body. This guy is not too bad. Better than I expected coming from Turkey. Worth a try.

as the bottle warmed, the taste grew and grew and became almost too much, drink this cold and it wonít offend you, had this with a gyro platter in chicago, the food was good, the beer so-so

Bottle. Moderate note of hay for the malt, light herbs and grass for the hops, and cooked corn and celery in the background. Head is frothy, white, with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling clear gold. Flavor is lightyl acidic to start and finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, with a lively carbonation and finishes slightly metallic. This beer surprised me a bit. It wasnít just another average wishy-washy Pilsner.

this was my first turkish beer. and probably my last. I didnít find it appealing at all. Flavor was slightly off - as was the color. But reading the catagory this beer is in......its not a pilsner at all. Figures.

Not terrible. This is an exceptable pale lager. I had this at a beerfest and it was a nice change from the ordinary pale. Mildly hoppy aroma. Itís rather ordinary in appearance with a decent head. A bit refined taste some hop flavor, with a minor presence of spice. Itís bitter, but not unpleasant at all. A good beer for a meal.

Golden yellow, average foamy head. Some hops, a bit sweet. Slightly bitter finish. OK for a meal, nothing special.

The initial impression is promising, nice colour with foamy white Pilsener head that retains quite well. Then it is down from there really. Aroma is cardboard, flavour is corn with a sweet finish and a hint of bitterness. Dissapointing at best.
