No head on a dark straw coloured liquid. Light grassy aroma. Sweet grassy flavour. Some uneven bitterness. Overall thin and weak.

Amstel Light of Ankara. Slightly skunky aroma as soon as I popped the bottle cap, followed by...absolutely nothing! No pop,no carbonation, weak, unenthusiastic, half-hearted head (donít you hate that?) that dissipated pretty quickly, leaving unattractive slug trails down the side of my glass. Weak-sister mouth feel , cheap corn or rice flavor, and a slightly "off" aftertaste. However I can see why someone might go this far afield to try this beer: we have so few skunky domestics available locally.

Canned. Pale golden colour. Small head. Grassy, slightly malty, hoppy aroma. Sweetish, malty taste at first ending in a weak to medium dry finish. Adjuncty notes. Not a drain-pour, but not recommendable at all.

Wow, my first Turkish beer and probably my last. Typical light skunky aroma with some hops. Small head which reduces really quickly. Ok carbonation. Light gold in color. Light malt aroma and hops. Flavor is really not offensive at all unlike the aroma but I have smelled worse. Finish is clean a dry with a little bitterness.

OK, I admit it. I only got this for the Turkish tick (sounds like some sort of parasite). Pale yellow colour. Low carbonation. Adjunct aroma - I noted rice in the ingredient list. The flavour is slightly cardboardy, but not much else comes through. Relatively clean mouthfeel, with a mild bitterness on the finish. Not great, but by no means the worst mondo lager Iíve tried. Iím sure it would taste better on a beach in Turkey. 330ml bottle from beersoeurope.co.uk.

Pleasant, fruity, sweet, typical mediterranean lager. Better than most lagers Iíve had.

Pours a clear pale golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is full of saaz hops and a touch of pale malt. Body starts with a nice pale malty sweetness, but fades into a confused sticky, dry hoppy finish that lacks balance. Goes down kinda smooth, but the finish is too dry.

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2005 Iíve learned not to expect too much from countries that donít make much use of the biggest beer market, and this one doesnít disappoint that expectation. It poured a golden color with good beading and a medium white head... that evaporated almost immediately. The carbonation fled, as well. The aromaís a bit skunky, sweet, metallic, grassy. The flavorís not too bad, sweet malt with a hint of hops. Thereís corn, at least, here. Sticky sweet finish. But at least Iíve had a brew from Turkey.

White head medium size, nice rocky collapse and lacing. Very pale body. Some hops aroma. Very fizzy palate. Hint of malt. Light bodied with a lingering slight bitterness. Tastes quite sweet but adjunct sweet, not malt. Seems to have a mild aftertaste that kicks in some time later, quite "wet cardboardy".

Very pale yellow (straw colored?) out of the bottle with a thin, fizzy white head. Not a skunky as I was prepared for, but still the aroma was dominated by corn and skunk. Mostly corn and white sugar sweetness with a faint bitterness in the finish. Not as bad as the other random country beers Iíve had tonight.
