A surprisingly great beer from a Mediterrenean country. I had stopped drinking pilsener for years (all that Heineken, Carlsberg crap) and was on Belgian. But now, I am back on pilseners, thanks to Efes...

Bottle from my local kebab spot. Light grass and grainy malt on the nose with a slight bit of skunkiness. Fairly good malt character and light grassy hops on the palate. Average carbonation with a medium-light body. Fairly crisp finish and refreshing enough. Really not bad and slayed with my kebab.

Tap and bottle, Turkey and Cyprus. Great taste and refreshing aroma, continuously carbonated but not too much gas. One of my favorite pils.

I thought I liked the smell when I opened it, but not anymore after drinking some of it. It also tasted like cardboard. Otherwise, it is light and ok carbonated.

Part II of Turkish beer night. Oh well, it had to be done. Pours light gold into the glass. Head is fleeting. Very little aroma here. A bit of malt and a light sour note, really very weak. Taste is green tea with a light citric taste, but again, very understated. Light bodied. Carbonation is just right. Finish is watery, with more green tea. A beer is a product of its environment and this could no doubt be quite refreshing when sitting under the weltering sun on Heybeliada, but by conventional standards, it’s not much of a beer.

Clear yellow color with average white head. Aroma is clear malt, bread. Taste is also bread, little bitter and actually with almost sweet finish. It’s a bit too watery, and boring, but drinkable.

Nice pilsener, but the bitter tones are not bitter enough for me. The sweetness is just at the right level though.

Flaske. Farven er lys gyldengul med en hvid skumkrone. Aromaen er malt og brød medens smagen er malt og kemi.

Bottle. Pale yellow with firm white head, no lacing. Semi sweet malty atoma, bready, cardboard, vegetables. Taste starts malty, semi bitter, then an unpleasant sweet chemical corn taste, finishing medium bitter. Light body with fizzy carbonation. This is why good pilseners have bad reputation.

advent calendar #11. Pale gold, small head. Cardboard aroma. Malty taste with sweet unfermented worth final. Bitter aftertaste. Light and fizzy

The beer is just an ordinary pilsener. The color of the beer is golden yellow, a little bit light. The beer is quite clear. On top of the beer, little foam forms. The foam that does form, is white and rough. The smell of the beer is simple. It has barley, some hops and a little bit of bread. The taste is very bready. I can say much about this beer. It is just a simple pilsener. If I where in Turkey, I would look for a better beer. But if no other beer is around, this isn’t that bad to drink.
