mabel (1633), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 5, 2007 [340-20070613] 500mL (w/ jerc). Wheaty grain aroma with a hint of uncooked beef patty. Clear, golden yellow body with some centralized small bubbles and a medium-lasting foamy white head. Flavour is a little wheaty with a sweet touch of honey. Light-medium body. Tastes better than it smells but its still pretty bleh.
thill25 (186), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 20, 2008 12 oz bottle...Pours clear golden yellow w/ a fizzy, white head. Settles to form nice laces all the way down the glass. Aroma of sweet malts, grains, sour funk. Flavor was a bit too sweet, somewhat cloying, definite e lack of hop bite....also did have some "cardboard" notes. Mouthfeel was light-bodied, somewhat watery w/ medium carbonation. Not bad... patricks110 (152), Alberta, Canada Aug 19, 2008 Had in a 350 mL bottle from bottlescrew Bills, Calgary, AB. Pours a plain yellow hgold with a medium sized head which doesn’t dissapate. Aroma of malts, hops, and corn. Taste is boring, slightly skunky and of banana, citrus, and malts. Mouthfeel is boring and normal. Overall, a fairly good beer, but not something I will try to find again. Acknud (592), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA Aug 19, 2008 I’m impressed. Not bad for a pale lager. Not much color or mouthfeel but overall the aroma and taste aren’t bad. ChainGangGuy (1536), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Aug 9, 2008 $1.79 12 oz. bottle at Total Wine in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a clear, yellow body with a firm, fizzy, white head.
Smell: Sweetish pale malt nose with notes of spicy hops and ears of corn.
Taste: Sweet pale maltiness with a light taste of boiled corn. Sour graininess in the background. Spicy hops with a fair amount of sweetness-curbing bitterness. Drop of lemon. Finish crisp.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation. A tad watery.
Drinkability: Eh. Not quite a turkey from Turkey, it’s just a basic, simple lager. iammarc (177), Inverness, Scotland Jul 28, 2008 Turkish thirst-quencher, probably does the job on a hot day. I’ve only tasted it on a cold Scottish day though and it wasn’t mega brill to be truthful. Bit too watery for me.
