0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 JesseM (942) - Kitchener-Waterloo, - JAN 8, 2011
500mL can from the LCBO. What would Ontario be without a beer from Turkey? Pours a very pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is pretty crappy, garbage malts and adjunctyness. Awesome. Flavour is actually less awful, sticky ewy corn sweetness, but with a surprising peppery bite that appears early and stays through the finish. Very faint green apple flavour, in that brewing flaw kind of way, not the tasty estery kind. Finishes lame and watery. Your standard fizzy yellow stuff that will likely sit on LCBO shelves for months, if not years. My rating is actually pretty high for something that offers practically nothing to actually give points to. I thought Islamic countries were dry and therefore couldn’t produce alcoholic drinks? How pointlessly enlightening for me to experience this beer...
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 edpeg (505) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 28, 2012
0,33l bottle. From Efes Deutschland, ABV 4,9. Pours pale yellow clear body with white foamy short head. Aromas include some hops, malts and grains and grass. Palate is thin watery, with soft crispy carbonation and mouthfeel. Taste is malty and weak short dry hoppy finish. Decent lager, with mild flavours but refreshing enough.

Meh. It’s just one of those crappy little lager beers that’s like all the crap stuff you drink in college. Oh well. It’s from Turkey, so there’s a country off my list...

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2012
Nov 2006: Bought this bottle because I enjoyed drinking this beer some years ago, while on holiday in Turkey.
Very pale straw blond in colour.
The beer in the bottle, before I poured it, had a strong hop smell: but it disappeared once the beer was in my glass.
Pilsners from the Med don’t have great flavours, or strong aftertastes, this one almost does have those qualities, but not quiet.
