2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 burg326 (1112) - Florida, USA - MAY 28, 2012
Had this on tap, and it was decent, better than regular macro beers, however when I had it in the bottle later that night, it was not the same. Poured an amber color with aromas of grass, and biscuits. Flavors were the same, however when I had it in the bottle it had the same flavors as on draft, but followed by a cleaner solution aftertaste. Disappointing, and I might have my rating low, but it is due to the last one I had from the bottle.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 decaturstevo (3669) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JUL 16, 2010
Slight hazed gold pour with off white head and lace. Aroma of light caramel malt. Light caramel malt flavor with a nice light bitter. Medium bodied but a bit fizzy. Pretty nice beer.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Beerbuddha (100) - New Orleans, Louisiana, USA - JUL 1, 2010
Had this on tap at the brewery. This beer is listed as an APA but I think more likely falls into the Kolsch category.
Appearance: This beer poured a nice golden color with a nice white, fluffy head.
Smell: Had a nice sweet maltiness with a very subtle hop aroma.
Taste: This one had a nice sweetness from the malts. It also had an interested tartness too it which I found nice. The subtle hoppiness made for an easy drinking brew.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, clean and refreshing.
Overall: An easy drinking very sessionable brew.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 changeup45 (1369) - Mount Dora, Florida, USA - JUN 12, 2010
Bottle from the brewery. Floral and herbal aroma with a tropical fruity scent and some malt behind that. Golden-amber color with a solid off-white head. Decent staying power, solid lacing. A bit biscuity tasting with sweet tropical fruit, grainy notes, and a slight trace of balancing hops in the finish. Seems like this could be an Amber. Nothing special but I like it. Simple, easy drinking, and refreshing. Not a bad choice for this hot sunshine we’re getting right now.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MeadMe (977) - Riverview, Florida, USA - MAR 21, 2010
On tap several months ago at Oldsmar Taphouse.
A: Pours a golden orange hue with a small head. Light retention but no lace.
S: Sort of a buttery aroma right from the start. Hints of cereal grains with hints of bread. Light floral hops as well.
T: Light grains, mostly light roasted like crackers. There are hints of citrus and floral hops but they are very subdued.
M: Light in body, mildly dry finish.
D: Not really a fan of this one either.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 sebletitje (4394) - Enghien, BELGIUM - SEP 4, 2009
drat at the brewery.
pours murky golden/orange, white head.
Aroma is yeasty, fruity, citrusy and hoppy with hints of yeast.
Flavor, yeasty seems to be noticeable in most of their beers, German strain. Light apricot mouthfeel, grainy with some hints of sweetness.
Med-high carbonation, almost too carbonated.
refreshing with some bitterness in the finish.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hopscotch (7535) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 23, 2009
Draft… Mostly clear golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is reserved, but provides tender notes of pale grains and fruit – mostly lemon. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is citrusy and tangy with a lesser notation of mash and a mildly nutty characteristic. Crisp, fairly clean finish.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beerlando (3324) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAY 29, 2009
Draft at the brewery. I was told that this was just kegged and still hadn’t settled, hence the cloudy appearance. Pours a hazy, glowing golden-orange color with a small, foamy, pure white head. Thin, broken lines of jagged lacing circle the glass. The aroma shows a very clean and fresh grain billing, with notes of toasted bread and a trace of biscuit. A light floral hopping adds just a touch of bite to the mildly sweet grain. Flavors weren’t very pronounced, but the clean, toasty grain and lightly sweet biscuit worked well together. A crisp floral hop bite comes through on the finish. Medium-light bodied and balanced on the tongue, this is indeed a quaffable brew. Sort of a hybrid golden-amber if you ask me. Not bad for what it is, though I can’t help but think the agitated yeast lent some body that might not usually be there.
