bottle, vielen Dank nach Bochum! Clear deep brown colour with a brown-beige head. Malty nose with lots of roast aromas. Medium-bodied, pleasantly malty with lots of caramel and roasted malt, hints of chocolate and a shy hoppy touch. Reminds me of Bohemian dark beers.

It’s dark brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel and the moderately sweet flavor has the same notes plus a little licorice in the dry finish. It’s a really nice dunkel.

(bottle) Clear, reddish brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet dark and roast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, coffee and herbal nettle-like spices. Sweet and roast-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with an almost creamy mouthfeel. Robust, slightly molassy and moderately roasted malty base with hints of dark chocolate and subtle fruity accents; sweet-bitter and moderately roasted malty finish. Pleasant Dunkel 05.X.09

Bottle: Deep ruby-amber coloured, small - but nevertheless stable off-white head; moderate - not very sweet - aromas of caramel and dark malt, molasses and roasted malt underneath, sorrounded by a lttle fruitiness; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit sticky; molasses in the sweet-bitter finish, followed by a light chocolatey-bitter touch in the aftertaste and a light acidity as well. Quite O.K. ...........
