(bottle) Hazy, reddish brown, almost mahogany coloured hue with a big but not very persistent beige frothy head. Moderately sour and slightly sweet fruity and wheaty aroma with mildly toasted accents and clovy spice. Slightly sweet and sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a spritzy carbonation. Berry-fruity and moderately wheaty taste with light toasted notes, rounded up with a whiff of caramel and cloves; fruit-accented and refreshing finish. Well-made Dunkelweizen.[but I have my doubts that it has been brewed by the Egerers themselves] 08.X.09

It’s unclear, red-brown with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of caramel, dark syrup, yeast, wheat and a touch of sourness. The sweet flavor has notes of caramel, wheat, mild yeast, syrup and light fruit, and the finish is slightly dry.

Bottle: Almost clear, deep chestnut-amber coloured, relatively quickly collapsing medium-sized off-white head; toaty-wheaty nose with a coffeeish touch; light to moderate sweetish- (malty)sourish flavour, soft MF, light to medium bodied; slightly lingering mild sourish and dark-malty finish. Quite decent......

bottle, mit Dank an pivnizub! Deep dark brown colour with a beige head. Malty-chocolaty nose. Full-bodied, lots of chocolate, fudge and caramel, hints of blackberries and blackcurrant. A very nice Dunkelweizen!
