Bottled. Muddy brown color with average-sized head. Sweet and chocolatey with clear ashy smoke notes in aroma. Very Czech in the smell, feels like a sweet dunked. Ashy and dusty smoke and chocolate in flavor. Bit stale in mouthfeel. The smoke comes late and becomes intense only then. Longlasting smoke. Light to medium bodied. A confusing smoked beer.

Draught at Pivovarsky Club, Prague, January 2014. Black, with a quick dissolving white head. Wine and faint smoke aroma. Smoky taste - a little sweet and a little bitter. Too light body, faint smoke finish. Unoffensive.

Aroma is smoked but not really smoked meat, more like the smoked malts. Really smooth, almost stout-like structure not as aggressive as some other smoked types but kind of lacks some more intense aftertaste too.

On tap at the brewery. Pours clear brown with a cream coloured head. Sweet malt with a light bitter finish permeated the whole way by a ’Black Forest Ham’ flavour which isn’t bad at all.

Bottle (best before October 2011) shared by Peter Bognar. Aroma lightly basement aromas. Very light smoke, hints of peat. Dark brown colour. Taste is slightly watery, lower body. Light smoke, roasted. Medium malty sweetness.

Another bottle (best before 2012) had some sourness. I could not tell if it was a sign of contamination/spoiling, or it was a genuine flavour in the beer.
