Bottled 500ml. -Dark golden coloured, medium sized white head, malty hoppy nose. Sweet malty, moderate hoppy and grassy with notes of butterscotch. Mild hoppy finish. Drinkable but average.

Pours gold, slightly hazy. White head. Aroma of butter, sweet malt and grassy hoppiness. Flavour is fruity , malty and hoppy bitter.

Bottle, dense stable head, very hazy and deep gold colour, malty and a bit stale malty aroma, flavour of honey, stale bread, canned mushrooms and a foul almondy bitterness. This brew has probably seen better days.

Bottle. Clear deep golden color with a stable medium white head and nice lacing. Aroma is grainy with some cereals, some butter and faint notes of hops. Sweetish flavor with some graininess, light buttery notes and a mildly bitter finish with a bit of hops. Light-bodied. Kinda drinkable but not so good - I suspect this one isn’t very fresh.

I tried some of this beer on tap at the brewery in Cesky Krumlov. It had a gold color with a good white bubbly head with some cling and retention. The aroma featured straw, grain, and cereal notes. It tasted a bit sweet with a light citrus component. The body was of medium-density, with good carbonation, and a fairly full mouthfeel with some dryness.

Pours yellow with a decent head,aroma of cheese, malt acids and some herby hops, flavor is extremely metallic with almost no sugary character, some herby hops and cereals, medium bodied.

Deep golden color, small white head. Buttery, woody hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Harsh malty, woody hoppyness, some unclean buttery notes. Lingering harsh bitterness in the aftertaste. Certainly a Czech pils, but not very balanced one.

Malzig-getreidiger, chemisch erscheinender Antrunk. Hintergründig getreidig ist das Bier auch im Mittelteil, eine herbe Note, die an ein Alkoholfreies erinnert, steht im Vordergrund, nicht gerade angenehm. Getreidig-scharfer Abgang, hopfig-bittere Endnote. Test vom 25.10.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,4,5,4,10,4 - 5,05

Lively yellow colour with a bit oily head. Aroma of toast breads, bit smokey. Taste is medium bitter with malty notes. Average but very drinkable pils.

Pretty clean! Snappy grassy hop profile, with flower and herb. Bitter, bread, slight sweetness. Very strong bitterness at the back of the tongue. Great head, super finely conditioned beer in a fresh bottle (before May 8, 2011). I like the two Eggenberg beers I’ve had very much.
