omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 22, 2005 Updated: Apr 29, 2005Bottled. Dark brown, rich head. Sweet and fairly light bodied. Rich on coffee but apart from that it has not many redeeming features. It’s much too sweet with low hop rate and sticky, syrupy finish. oh6gdx (6334), Vaasa, Finland Apr 16, 2008 Bottle. Rubyish amber colour with beige head. Aroma is syrup, toffee and some mild roasted notes. Flavour is roasted malts along with some mild coffee, smoked wood and a bit of hops. Also quite sweet. Big sweet caramel malty as well as roasted finish and aftertaste. Really pleasant schwarzbier. MiP (6026), Flensburg, Germany Aug 21, 2007 Draught at BBF07. Mild, bready aroma. Dark brown colour. OK creamy light brown head. The flavour is slightly sweet and OK roasted. TBone (5116), Pori, Finland Jun 5, 2008 Bottled (BB 11/2008)
Dark red ruby color, decent sized creamy beige head. Toasted syrupy aroma with notes of diacetyl and woody hops. Medium-bodied. Toasted, buttery flavor. A bit acidic and diacetylic. Also some odd sweetness, propably from saccarine. Finish has hoppy bitterness. In the aftertaste there is some bitterness. Quite basic and typical Czech dunkel. With 11 degree gravity just a bit too thin at the end. Thomas_E (5065), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 21, 2004 From tap at Pivovar Eggenberg. Dark colour with small beige head. Aroma is sweet, and so is the flavor, wich had hints of raisin and caramel.
