2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Svak maltaroma, svart med ett nydelig offwhite skum som legger seg fint nedover glasset. Smak av brent malt, men litt tynn og vassen i munnen.

On tap at Pivovar Eggenberg, Cesky Krumlov. Clear mahogany coloured with a modest, bubbely, tanned head. Malty and bready aroma with notes of caramel, roasted malt and dark fruits. Fairly sweet with malty flavours and a light bitterness. Easy to drink, but fairly boring.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle dated October 18 2014, so it’s expired. Smells of solvent and cola malt with sharp hairspray notes. Medium bodied, chewy and sweet and syrupy, showing more of a nutty and toasty malt and cedar-pepper hop character in the finish. Pretty simple malt character, and the low carbonation doesn’t support it well so it sits flabby and chewy and comes across like malzbier, especially up front. The finish is nicely long and there’s more depth in the back.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at the brewery. Pours dark brown with orange glints and a tan head. Aroma of chocolate and malt. Flavor is chocolate and dark malt, and maybe a touch of vanilla. Finishes just a short way off dry. Nice dunkel.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle (BB Oct 16, 2014, 5.0% ABV).
Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing.
Body is dark brown.
Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, coffee, cocoa, bread), lightly hoppy (herbs).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Smells fairly nice...very coffee-ish, definitely more towards the Schwarzbier side of the spectrum IMHO. A little too sweet in the mouth, though, as far as the lingering sugars in the finish.

Gyenge, teljesen elüt az igazi prágai dunkles-től, mintha csak színezték volna.
