3fourths (8391) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 25, 2014
Bottle dated October 18 2014, so it’s expired. Smells of solvent and cola malt with sharp hairspray notes. Medium bodied, chewy and sweet and syrupy, showing more of a nutty and toasty malt and cedar-pepper hop character in the finish. Pretty simple malt character, and the low carbonation doesn’t support it well so it sits flabby and chewy and comes across like malzbier, especially up front. The finish is nicely long and there’s more depth in the back.

bhensonb (11908) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 6, 2014
Tap at the brewery. Pours dark brown with orange glints and a tan head. Aroma of chocolate and malt. Flavor is chocolate and dark malt, and maybe a touch of vanilla. Finishes just a short way off dry. Nice dunkel.

Ernest (6515) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 8, 2014
Bottle (BB Oct 16, 2014, 5.0% ABV). Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, coffee, cocoa, bread), lightly hoppy (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Smells fairly nice...very coffee-ish, definitely more towards the Schwarzbier side of the spectrum IMHO. A little too sweet in the mouth, though, as far as the lingering sugars in the finish.

Gyenge, teljesen elüt az igazi prágai dunkles-től, mintha csak színezték volna.

Kita (1311) - Koper, SLOVENIA - MAY 29, 2014
Bottle, 0.50l. Cloudy dark brown color with thin creamy tan-like head and nice lacing. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and herbal hops. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel and toffee, follows by gently roasted malt, coffee and grainy sourness, while finish is pleasant bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Very well balanced and tasty...
