Grima (1573) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JAN 9, 2011
The beer in the glass is beautiful to behold. Is reminiscent of a Zwickl. Pineapple yellow turbid, and a fine head, which is not very durable. Smells very fruity-hoppy. Starts fruity and lemony-tart. A bit of yeast is to the middle section. Otherwise does not change a lot. It is bitter, but in a healthy frame. Actually not bad, but it lacks that certain something. This beer is really hard to classify...

500 ML Bottle is Austria on top of a mountain at a little hut. Had this with local cheese and smoked meat. I think this might have skewed my rating but matter not I enjoyed this a lot. Is a dark golden color with a full white head. Aroma is of malt and friuts. Taste is sweet malt. Has a soft palate. I would class this as a Helles but matters not. Good brew.

Bottle (Thanx to Stefan !): Clear, golden coloured, slowly diminishing loose white head; pale-malty nose with "papery" influences; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, soft MF; fruity and papery traces in the sweet-malty finish. Not really convincing............

MoritzF (7386) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAY 28, 2008
(bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Slightly dusty, moderately sweet pale malty nose with a touch of cardboard. Sweet flavour with faint notes of bitterness, pale malt character, slightly strawy and papery, light to medium bodied with an almost crispy carbonation; moderately dry, sweetish malt-accented. Bland and one-dimensional brew (28.05.08).

Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, GERMANY - APR 26, 2008
bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear golden yellow, medium-size head. Hoppy nose. Fruity and hoppy flavours, solid malty base. Very aromatic. Well-balanced beer with its own special character. Good!

Geiserich (2338) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - NOV 16, 2005
Bottled:
Aroma is pithy, grassy hoppy and light grainy. Pale golden color, frothy head, not stable. Flavor has a light sweetness, light maltiness and is then hoppy and short vapid. Light dry finish.

Aroma is grain, malts and herbal. Golden color, white head, good lace. Rather sweet, soft hops, light bitter, mainly herbal and grain finish, medium body, little sticky.
