COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Weak, pale-gold pilsener. Refreshing and a popular light beer in its homeland, Iceland.

500 ml can. From Akureyri, Iceland. Thanks Jón!
Clear light golden colour with small off-white head. Quite lemonade looking one. Bread, malt and mild sweet hops in aroma. Malt, wood, metal and some rubbery hoppy notes in flavour. Waterish. Not bad but not exactly the winner either. Could be quaffed when thirsty.

Can from the grocery store in Reykjavik. Pours a clear, straw yellow body with a dense, white, lasting body full of fine bubbles. Good lacing. Aroma is of floral, woodsy hops and some sweet pils malt. Fairly prominent, distracting metallic notes. Hops are much stankier and less pleasant in the flavor with little malt flavor. Metallic component is still there. Light body, low sweetness and moderate carbonation for the style. Low-moderate bitterness. Tinny finish. Fairly blah overall. The Viking on tap was far superior.

Can in Reykjavik. Surprisingly hoppy, refreshing beer. Sure, it is thin and watery, but this is all right for a lager of this strength.

Normal beers cant be bought in shops in Iceland - They have a similar system to the swedish Systembolag...Therefor these light beers are the only to get your hands in after six pm eccept from bars. This one pours a sparkling yellow with a tiny fluffy head. The nose is malty and rusty. The taste is weak with no aftertaste what so eve. There is some corn, frosty iron and water. Considered the beer type the taste is OK... so go for it if you cant get your hands on some water.

Warm golden with a huge, nice and creamy head. The aroma is weak with light notes of malt and caramel. The flavour is mellow but light with notes malt, caramel and there is no bitterness whatsoever. You could choose to slam this one, but considering the only 2,25% I think it has surprisingly much flavour and it’s very easy to drink.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2006 Bottle " with 2.25 alc. Thin yellow colour, weak aroma of some grainy malty thing. Flavour is quite thin with some graininess and a little maltiness. Thin brew, then again what to expect from a low alc. beer?

Purchased on Good Friday (only thing we could get in Reykjavik), poured from the can, some carbonation with a large airy white head and a straw yellow colour. Aroma was slightly sulphuric (yum - not!) and some grassy hops. Sulphur again in the flavour and the mouthfeel was very dry. Undoubtably the worst beer I have ever tasted!

Low alcohol, and not much aroma nor flavor. Light yellow color, low head. And thin palate, if any.
