(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, roasted peanuts and a tinge of alcohol. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Cara-malty and slightly toasted taste with caramel, a nutty touch and light but rounded herbal hops; sweet and moderately bitter, slightly herbal finish with a well-hidden alcohol. Decent and not too sweet Bock. 11.I.10

Schlecht. 10/7/6/4/6/4

Bottled. An amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel - simple for a bock.

Bottle: Deep golden to light amber coloured, mid-sized persistent beige head, quite solid earthy-herbal hoppy nose with a sweet pale-malty background; solid bitter-sweet flavour, soft and medium bodied; lingering sweet malty and nutty finish with tons of herbal hops in the aftertaste. An unexpected gem from the German Democratic Republic.....

Bottle, 6.5%. The aroma is OK malty, seems to have a slightly rough hoppiness. Clear grey amber colour. OK tan head. The flavour is a lot like the aroma. It starts off quite malty, turning quite alcoholic in the finish. OK cleansing hoppiness.

Bottle, shared by Papsoe. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. Grainy nose with some caramel and hops. Grainy and fruity flavor with a pleasant bitterness. Dry body. Nice bitterness in the finish. Nothing more than ordinary. Maybe except the bitterness, which was above average for a bock. Not sure if that was a nice twist though. (090514)

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malt, not so breadish. Light metallic too. Alcohol, light metallic and vague breadish malt flavoured. Good portion of hops to counterbalance the malt. Bitter and roasted flavoured finish.
