3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Alright, I purchased a growler of Prodigal at "The Party Source in Newport, Kentucky (a block away from the brewery in Bellvue, Kentucky) - this one poured out an auburn hued , piney smelling, West Coast type IPA that had a mighty Amarillo Hops presence. The taste is an excellent "grapefruit juice and pine needles" (citrus and hops) flavor and is an outstanding example of the style. Pass me another, Nancy!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler from the fridge into Listermann Shaker - so this is Amarillo: pine and cat urine. Alas! Kind of watery but crisp. Oddly satisfying. Citrus aftertaste. Balanced but not pronounced.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Taster on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Clear orange color. Thin ring of white head. No lace sticks. Awesome big orange citrus in the nose, light pine. Very satisfying, bigger level of hops on this one. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft lighter carbonation. Lightly crisp. Nice light caramel malt, some good bready biscuity malt, light spiciness. Moderate bitter taste, little sweetness, sort of zesty. One of the better Ei8ht Ball brews offered, relative to style. Very tasty and satisfying.
