From a can. Pours a lite amber/dark orange color with not much of a head. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Grassy/weedy pine aroma. Taste is weed hop, sweet malt, and slight bitterness. Somewhat dry finish on the palate. Overall an average APA.

12 ounce can, canned on 08/24/15, 6.5% ABV. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear amber color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells mostly like floral and citrusy (grapefruit, citrus peel) hops, along with some bready malt. For the most part I think the taste is the same as the aroma, but the citrusy hop flavors are stronger than the floral/earthy ones. Nice amount of bitterness in this APA. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís slick and smooth with a good amount of carbonation. I think this is a fine pale ale, I liked it and would like to try it again in the future. $1.99 for a single can at Liquor Barn, not sure how much a 6 pack of this is.

Draught at All Tech fest. Lacks a distinct hop aroma or taste. Fairly one note in its composition.

Aroma: Grapefruit mostly apparent with some light herbaceousness and very light mango; Malts are semi sweet caramel, and make for a fairly balanced nose. This is definitely not one for those seeking a lean malt profile. Appearance: Nearly still, copper bodied beer with a foamy white head that settles into a slightly whipped skin. Flavor: More herbal/wildflower up front with a sustained caramel malt backbone; grapefruit gradually wins out, leading to a somewhat bitter finish. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, very soft carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: A well made APA from this brewer, and worth a try. My first Ei8th Ball beer!

on tap @ Ei8ht Ball / Bellevue KY --- Clear medium amber, light head cover, specks of lace. Taste is malt that quickly adds solid citrus/pine hopping. Mostly hops roll to a very long finish. Hop dominant, which isnít balanced enough for me.

Draft pour at the source. Pours a clear copper with a thin white head of foam. The aroma is herbal and tea-like. Taste is a little musty. Bitter throughout. Lighter body with medium carbonation.

Draft at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a clear orange golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor had orange citrus, grass, pale malts, mils sweet malts, caramel, light herbal and resiny notes, decent enough APA.
