Sample at Daily Growler Powell. Pours a pale amber color with a medium white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of fruit, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of floral hops, citrus and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

12oz can. Extra from trade on IG. Bottom of can says Gary Busey 10/22/15. Guess this can is a little past its prime just like Gary Busey. Pours a hazy orange with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is mainly caramel maltiness and old citrus. Taste of caramel, grapefruit, seltzer water, rubber, old lemons, and some pine in the finish. Almost flavorless at first taste and then a mish mosh of bitter flavors hit you. This can is definitely not fresh so this isn’t a fair rating.

Can. Looks golden or amber. Aroma of citrusy and piney and floral hops, some pale and caramel malts, and some dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. A pretty generic IPA.

Sweet candied tropical fruits. Medium bitterness overpowered by more sweet fruits. Interesting but too much sugary fruits.

From a can. Pours a lite amber/dark orange color with not much of a head. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Grassy/weedy pine aroma. Taste is weed hop, sweet malt, and slight bitterness. Somewhat dry finish on the palate. Overall an average APA.

Still haven’t had an eight ball I like yet. Not bad just forgettable. Drinkable in a pinch.

12 ounce can, canned on 08/24/15, 6.5% ABV. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear amber color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells mostly like floral and citrusy (grapefruit, citrus peel) hops, along with some bready malt. For the most part I think the taste is the same as the aroma, but the citrusy hop flavors are stronger than the floral/earthy ones. Nice amount of bitterness in this APA. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s slick and smooth with a good amount of carbonation. I think this is a fine pale ale, I liked it and would like to try it again in the future. $1.99 for a single can at Liquor Barn, not sure how much a 6 pack of this is.
