Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep amber coloured, smaller off-white foamy layer; molasses, dark dried fruit and a touch of port in the nose; robust sweet bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; mainly molasses and dark fruit in the sweet finish, some bitterness, that keeps it well balanced, detectable in the very end. Not the worst Bock........

0.33 l bottle. Reddish brown color. Sweet bready and toffeish aroma with berry liquer. Sweet bready and toffeish taste with strawberry juice. Soft palate.

Pours a dark brown with nice off white head. Aroma of toffee mats and bread. Nive malty flavor, sweet flavor, but palate was a bit thin for a doppel bock, still good though

Pours clear amber color with minimal head. Aroma of nuts, caramel malts, mild fruits and faint alcohol. Flavor of sweet caramel malts, earth, distant dark ripe fruits, some plum, mild berry notes, yeast, flour and nuts. Quite stuffy on the palate, sweetish and somewhat nutty aftertaste.

Aroma is very light with hints of hay and peanuts. Flavour has malt, peanuts and sinol-like alcohol. Becomes unpleasantly sour after some sips. Sticky finish. Not good.

Dark brown/reddish and hazy with a medium creamy head. Smells quite sweet and a little bit roast. at the beginning intensive sweet taste, then a bit spicy with caramel. Light bitterness. Creamy and long lasting taste.

Bottle. Brown color. Malt, roast and caramel in the aroma. Malty sweet roasty alcoholic flavor with notes of coffee and caramel. Nutty aftertaste.

Bottle. Deeply plummy and rasiny malt, a little earthen smoke and grape sweetness. Ruby-copper body with plenty of carb, head is a sudsy beige-tan. Taste is sweet with lower, later bitterness, sugary grape leading off before the earth and roast occupy the back end. And just a touch of fruit-favoring tang, with orange peel and light cherry spiking in a Belgian note. Creamy, lightly oily full body. It’s on the wrong side of too-sweet , but an enjoyable Doppelbock and, in light of how well it hides its alcohol (extremely well), a dangerous one.

Dark amber color, clean; small sized compact head. Aroma of plastic, dust, rubber, some chemicals, caramel, very light alcohol. Sweetish and industrial caramel flavor, with rubber tones; low bitterness, but a light nutty touch in the end. Not as bad as it sounds, but very badly executed.

Wenig intensiver, nur minimal getreidiger Antrunk. Bevor sich Aromen wirklich breit mahen können wird das Bier bereits scharf, genauso schnell ist dies aber auch wieder verschwunden. Cremig malzig im Mittelteil, wobei dies merkwürdig flach erscheint, im Hintergrund tut sich nichts. Auch jetzt, wo die Malzigkeit noch vollmundiger wird, bleibt der Hintergrund unberührt. Wenig süßer werdend, im Abgang erneut würziger und runder. Nettes, auf dauer aber einseitig malziges Bier. 6/9/8/9/11/9
