The bottle looks good, for the 400. jubilee of Mannheim. The beer in the glass looks not so good, a little bit turbid, not much foam. Flavor starts sourish, finish is vapid. Not really a good beer.

Das Bier startet wässrig, nur nach und nach kann sich eine leichte Hopfigkeit hervortun, außerdem eine dezente Getreidigkeit. Dennoch wirkt das Bier bis in den Nachgeschmack wässrig, hier ist das Bier deutlich hopfiger, zudem leicht würzig. Durstlöscher ja, gutes Bier eher nicht.

500ml fliptop bottle: poured hazy lemon yellow with a medium sized white head. Grain and yeast dominate the aroma with a light touch of hops. Flavor is of grain and hops. Some apple notes. Moderate bitter finish. Good.

(swing top bottle, thanks to Koelschtrinker !) Hazy, orange colour with a mid-sized foamy almost white head. Medium-sweet, grainy, slightly buttery and citrus-fruity aroma with a shy hoppy touch. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium-bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Grainy and yeasty taste; dry and slim, slightly papery, yeasty- and slightly hop-bitter finish. Average, drinkable.

Re-Rate. 2007 Vierhunderd jahre Mannheim Jubileum, Bottle bought in Traunstein Germany. A hazy golden beer with a big white head. The aroma is of malt, carboard and hay, the taste is of malt, citrus and hay. Medium body with a dry finish.
