Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, and minerals. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a bitter and lightly metallic finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Reddish brown color. Sweet malty aroma. Flavor-wise it fits somewhere between a dark lager and alt beer. A little caramel-like and not too sweet on the palate.

Bottle 50cl. w. swing top.
Light unclear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, keller, sweet malt, light nutty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sour malt notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091003]

It’s unclear, dark-golden with an orange hue and a huge, creamy head. The aroma has light notes of acetone, but also malt, caramel and fruit. The sweetish flavor has notes of malt, fruit and light acetone, and in the finish I find sweet caramel.

Thanks to the Doppelbock for this bottle. A very sweet smell, some ginger, light malty. Overall a nice aroma. A small off-white fizzy-creamy head, rather short lasting. The body is -no surprise-red. Startet sweet, but a few seconds later it gets a lot more bitter. The duration is rather long. The body is medium, very dry with a soft carbonation and an moderate astringent finish. A nice and interesting beer.

Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a medium brown. Aromas of wheat bread, caramel, and a touch of something metallic. Flavor is malty/metallic without a lot of character.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Hazy, light amber coloured, stable lacy off-white head; sweetish-fruity and toasted-malty aroma with some shy hoppy influences; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, quite soft MF; a light alcoholic trace in the sweet-fruity and caramelly finish. Not bad, but a bit too sweet........
