Very simple lager. They promise Doppelt gehopft, but the hop is strong only in the final, very long for such beer. As Bov uses to say: blood taste, and somehow metallic.

pale golden, not much head smells of malt and some bitterness tasts a bit more bitter than other eichhofs, but its not a herbal bitterness, only a rather caracterless bitterness, but some sweetness too and metallic aftertaste bitterness

Bottled 30cl. It pours a yellow beer with a bubbly white head. The nose is slightly fruity, malty with a hint of gooseberries and hops accompanied by a metallic touch. Slightly sulphury. The nose isn’t that bad - actually it’s almost decent. Malty taste. The alcohol shows up a bit too much. Metallic. Hints of honey and vegetables. Some candy sneaking in - Rather sweet and malty. Not much bitterness. Slightly salty? This beer reminds me a bit of marmite. The flavor is really unpleasant. Medium bodied. Nice lacework. I definately enjoyed the aroma much more than the flavor where a lot of vegetables and metal appear. Strange extremely dry finish with a hint of fish?! I’m really not a fan of Eichhof.

Bottle poured in lager glass on 05-29-07. Clear gold color and 1 finger white head. Malty, chocolate, and some hops on the aroma. Taste of light grass hops and malt. Finish is the same but more stale. A watery-medium body and good carbonation. Nothing special here. Just a basic lager.
