Bottle (thanx to joss!): Deep amber coloured, small off-white head, quite stable, sweet dark-malty, but also mouldy nose; solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; smoky flavours in the sweet, dark-malty and fruity finish. Tastes much better than it smells........

It’s dark mahogany red with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of caramel, roasted malt, light chocolate, nuts and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, dark syrup, nuts, dark fruit and the finish is slightly spicy. Impressing!!

Bottled, 3 Små Rum, Göteborg. 7% abv. The bottle is at least one year old, possibly two. Red-brown colour with pale brown head, that diminishes quickly. Big almond paste in the nose, along with red berries. Rich and mature feel to the beer in smell overall, very soft, smooth. Flavour is little vineous, sweet malty but light on it’s feet considering the high abv. Red berries and lead also in flavour. Bit dusty, but not really stale. Aroma-wise a pretty elegant beer, but flavour-wise it has lost it’s potency. Will not improve with age unlike the dark doppelbocks.

Malzig-herber Antrunk, in dem bereits leichte Röstnoten vorhanden sind. Diese bleiben konstant und steigern sich auch zum Ende nicht. Dagegen wird die Makziakgiet stärker und erhält einen süß-säuerlichen Unterton, der nur in Teilen passt und den Abgang sehr trocken erscheinen lässt. Nussig, für einen Doppelbock recht bitter. Geschmacklich ein eher uneteschlossener Doppelbock mit starker Nussnote und trockenem Abgang. 11/10/9/10/11/10

Az íze kellemesen pörkölt, sütis, parfümös, egyfajta elegáns komlós édességgel indít. Testes sör, kicsit szúrós. Viszont a kellemes kezdést nem sikerül folytatni, a vége simán csak édes, hiányzik belőle a karakter, a fűszer, a komló. Az Eichator inkább a malátában és az édes regiszterekben jeleskedik, a maláta pörkölése egészen jellegzetes, már-már füstölt benyomást kelt. Szintén említésre méltó a mohos, pincés illat, viszont korántsem kellemes az árnyoldalaként jelentkező káposztás növényiség.

Poured deep ruby-reddish-brown with a foamy, small tan head. Moderated character with caramel, toasted grains, some licorice, plum, minimal hop. Caramel, molasses, fruity plum in the flavor. Sweetish toasted character with a sourish hop finish.

Bottle at Haket, Göteborg. Loads of sweet malt, some dried fruit, raisins, quite dry finish. A pleasnat beer, sweet, but not sticky.

Bottle looks good, the beer in the glass as well. Very dark, almost black. Nice head. Starts intense malty and strong, modest sweet, fruity notes of raisins. Finish a bit more smoky, modest dry, still intense malty. Nice!

0.33 l bottle (7%). Reddish brown color. Firm sweetish, malty, bready and raisiny aroma. Very bready and worty flavor with raisins, toffee and hint of chocolate. Low on hops, hence tastes sweet. Nice bready bock
