Trendy frosted white bottle. Fairly roasted caramel light salted peanut aroma. Red chestnut, golden layer. Big roast and chocolate initially, much more than usually so in a german dunkel. Mellows to a medium chewy sweet body with a herbal light spicy finish. Mellow mouthfeel. Quick roasted aftertaste. Interresting.

Bottle
Chestnut colour, tanned creamy lacing head. Caramelized and roasted aroma with berbs. Light dark bread base, a bit herbal (mint, basil, oregano) play. Medium to light body, mellow sparkly mouthfeel.

Bottle by 8.12. Nose nutty with toffee, earth, and herbal tones. Muddy light brown with an off-white. More of the same in the mouth, now with a slight candyish strain. Medium body.

Leicht malzig und kaffeartig im Mittelteil, gut ausgeglichen. Der Nachgeschmack hält durchschnittlich lange und geht, wie das Bier im Ganzen, in Ordnung. Test vom 2.4.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,8,7,6,12,6 - 7,05

Small bottle as Premuim Dunkel, I also tried a bottle of Spezial Dunkel, they are the same. It is a bit sweet and rough for a dunkel.

courtesy of Philipp and Thomas - dark brown colour with a long lasting beige foam; decent lacing; aroma of prunes, coca and toasted malts; respectable malt backbone; some sweetness and fairly tasty; fizzy and with a slightly dry fruits and malty finish - balanced and pleasant

0.5 l bottle. Hazy dark amber color. Sweetish nutty aroma with hint of coffee and sulfur. The flavor is also sweetish and very nutty with some kellerbier like fruitiness and dark bread. Good beer, but this is mostly about straightforward nutty maltiness.

Bottle, shared by fonefan. A slightly hazy, amber beer with a small, off-white to beige head sitting on top. Butterscotchy nose with roasted malts and some fruits. Roasted malts with butterscotch flavor in the back, a bit low on flavor maybe, and there’s also something reminiscent of cocoa. Medium body with pleasant carbonation level. Slightly acidic in the finish, but mostly caramel and roasted malts. A decent one, but I can easily do without butterscotch. 090822
