I've been at brewery and the fest bier offered to me was golden color with a nice white head that kept a nice lacing for while. Aroma is sweet malt. Flavor is like aroma, more sweetness and light bitterness. Low carbonation with light to medium body and light bitter finish. Good one ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone 4S

Rated as "Anna-Festbier".
Danke an wastl! 8/11/9/8

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2014 November 2013, bottle: Highly effervescent pour, clear honey gold color with a fine white head which doesn’t seem to want to stick around. Bananas, mineral water / calcium carbonate, apples, solvent, drywall and lactose aroma. Obvious infection. Sweet, light bodied, DMS-heavy, pasty. Cosmetics and foul fruit and cinder block dust. Bad shape for a fresh bottle.

August 2014, draft at Eichhorn @ Kellerwald, Forchheim as Annafestbier.
Gold and clear. Little metallic / stoneware flavor. Sweet clean pilsner malt profile. Quenching acid, minimal hop profile decent, overall balanced between sweet and hoppy / bitter. Clean, simple.Long bitter herb-lemon finish, but hop profile in the nose is more subtle.

Bottle from a REWE in Forchheim. Deep gold in colour, with a slight white head and moderate carbonation. Heavy cereal malts, some stone fruits and a gently bitter finish. Ok, but a bit heavy going.

(Rating #3824)

My Bottom Line :
Discreet herbal hops accompany fruity angles into a smooth peppery finish in this nicely drinkable festbier.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-Foam tufts cling to the top of the beer all the way down the krug. Quite appealing.
-This is not as sweet as Greif’s and Wolfshöher’s Annafestbiers, which is nice.
-Again, malt flavors are very polished, which seemed to be common at the Annafest.
-The big, soft bubbles and rather lean body (for an Annafestbier) make drinkability quite high.

On tap at Annafest.
