On tap at the brewery. Clear dark gold lasting white head. Malty beer. It’s fine. Not very hoppy some caramel. Ok. Bit dull

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2013 Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain/cereal, wort), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs), with light notes of soap and urine. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, slightly metallic. Despite being a seemingly fresh bottle (BB October), this is a pretty depressing beer. Icky malt character, cereal-ish and raw/worty. The hops aren’t much better...soapy and cat pee-ish. Thin, metallic, kinda dirty finish. A drain pour, sadly.

draft at Brauerei Eichhorn in Forchheim. clear medium-light glowing gold body with a huge and rocky ice cream fluff head. clean and sweet toasted grain and corn kernel pale malt / corn syrup / sugar character with stoic mineral rigidity in body. subtle but noticeable diacetyl notes float around acceptable levels for Czech lager, and it works well here with the lightly spiced and fruity German hops and sweet, straight-forward pale malt presentation. well-made for sure, with a crisp and clean profile from lagering, smacking and cracker-y and sweet. easily drinkable.

Pours golden in colour, with moderate white head. Nice balance between noble hops and sweet malt!

Draft. Pours gold with a big off white head. Light sweet malts, toasted bread, lighter earthy notes, and some buttery diacetyl. Not bad.

Bottle by 11.12. Mild citrusy pale malt nose, swirling light orange-golden with a white head. Taste constrains the sweetness, a little more tang, probably, and a nice crackery bitterness underlies all. Citrus and some biscuit, there’s some startling complexity here. Medium body, super juicy.

(bottle) pours a clear golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of floral hops, wet hay, dandelions and pale malts, with just a touch of butter. flavour is mopstly the same, with a light meatiness, some light notes of cardboard and a pleasantly spicy herbal-hoppy finish. mdedium-bodied with average carbonation.

From tap in the brewery’s Biergarten. The aroma is slightly malty and a bit boring. The flavour has a light sweetness with light notes of malt and caramel and a slightly dry and hoppy bitterness. OK, but very average.

Draft. A dark orange beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with a light dusty note. The flavor is sweet malty with a light dusty and citrusy hoppy note, leading to a dry bitter and flowery finish.
