A fair amount of cloves and ginger in this. Star anise less so. Warming but keeping the alcohol content well hidden.

I’m not a fan of spiced beers generally, so it’s unlucky for 8 degrees that I’mm the first reviewer. However saying that this is quite nice. Rather than being big and crude the spice seems very tastefully balanced

Deep red approaching black with a small head. Sweet aroma with orange and indeterminate but lovely spice, neither cloves nor star anise seem to be obvious ingredients. The flavour reminds me of a gentle mulled wine. Sweet malts and fruity, the orange is lovely, the spice, hangs in the background. Fairly tight body, I must say I’m impressed.
