3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Frank (2189) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 1, 2012
Real nice pils and I must have got it fresh; it’s not skunked despite being in a green bottle. Nose is of rising bread and grain husk with a touch of herbal hops.Flavor is dry, clean and light w/ a firm hop bitterness in the finish. A touch of spritzy carbonation keeps it lively w/o negatively affecting drinkability. Only real unfortunate thing is it pours sort of a boring, clear, headless yellow but that is forgivable when it does most everything else right.

Bottle- Pours a light golden color with a creamy head that fades to bits of lacing. Aroma of grain, some malt and bit of citrus and skunk in the background. Taste is slightly tangy, with a mild sweetness. There is a mild bitterness and a clean finish. Light body and smooth. Another run of the mill German Pils. Would drink again if offered one but would not go out of my way for one.
