3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 YogiBeera (2436) - Hamburg, - AUG 7, 2005
Medium foamy head and a nice mahagony color. Almond nose with clay notes and honey in the end. Roasted almond taste - medium lasting with a hoppy twinge. All in all a bit weak though a decent example of it’s style.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 kiwianer (763) - Mönchengladbach, GERMANY - MAY 28, 2012
Die Schaumkrone hält ziemlich schlecht. Es schmecktleicht blumig, wässrig im Nachgeschmack leicht dunkelmalzig, zu mild und wässrig und viel zu eintönig langweilig. Fazit: Einfach nur langweilig!

Einbecker Schwarzbier has a very thick, creamy, beige head, with some lacing and a clear, brown appearance, with tiny streams of bubbles. The aroma is of sweet, medium-toasted barley, brown bread, a little chocolate and coffee, and whiff of hops. Taste is similar, with a subtle added dark cherry aspect. The mouthfeel is light and watery, and Einbecker Scwarzbier finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, mostly dry, and highly drinkable. Simply an outstanding beer. RJT

Einbecker Schwarzbier. Unique shaped, green, 0.33L bottle. Dark brown color, light tam foam. Dark enough for a Dunkel, nowhere near as dark a trendier Schwarzbier, for sure. Aroma of toasted barley malt. some floral aroma hops. Tastes of roasted barley, some burnt caramel, earthy leaves, and a hint of skunk. Finishes with a touch of licorice bitterness. Soft, lighter bodied. (3312)
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Cybercat (1907) - Georgia, USA - APR 12, 2012
Pours a nice clear Coca-Cola brown with a fairly thick, fine-bubbled and rather persistent pale tan head. Strong, malty aroma has an overtone of pear and is on the sweet side. Flavor has a malty core and tones of caramel, licorice and fruit and a hint of grass. Smooth texture has a decent amount of fizz and about average body. Overall, not outstanding but definitely worth a try.

Clear dark amber with a nice off-white head that reduces to a rim-covering; light splotches of lace. Bittersweet caramel gives way to......not much. Actually, a rather easy drinking dark beer lite, but by the time I reached the finish all yhat was left was watery carbonation. Probably would be good for a long session.

Pours a foggy wood brown, with a light tan frogs’ eggs bubbly head. OK label. Sweetish cereal aroma. A little tinny, tangy, sweet.. Flavor is dominated by the malting. Tannic, woody, sweet aftertaste. Medium beer. Decent, perhaps a little plain.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 KlextonGaze (60) - Franklinville, New Jersey, USA - MAR 6, 2012
.33 to snifter starts as cola with tan head diminishing to thin rim huggin lace. Somewhat shy of anticipated depth by color with first whiff, but in mouth decent roasty cocoa n fig opens. Again thin and rather short ending semi-dry and a touch smoky. Not horrible choice overall however.
