The appearance of the beer is a nice copper color to it with a decent head and some lacing on the glass. The smell was a little disappointing to me but I dont drink beers for their smell. The smell has some okay malty smell and some mild sweetness to it. The taste is good with some of that great malty maibock falvoring, mild sweetness on the back end that tends to fade away with the malt coming back around. The mouthfeel afterwards is decent with some of that mild maltiness lingering around but it hangs around for a while. Overall, this maibock is a decent beer, it is a nice change from my normal maibock (Hofbrau Munich which is still the best IMO) but I had higher expectations for this beer that werent completely met, but still a decent beer.

Bottle, 330 ml, poured into a tulip glass at home. ABV 6.5% Golden orange colour, crystal clear body. Two fingers of white, thick soapy head on top, with great retention and heavy lacing left on the glass when the foam has collapsed. Aroma is very malty, light alcohol notes, straw, old grass. Taste is also very malty and sweet, medicinal alcohol, bitter aftertaste with short finish. Medium thin body, good carbonation, fairly dry on the palate. Overall nothing too special.

Pours a clear golden yellow. Aroma of German malts, or grainy slightly sour but rich. Taste is like a pils but sweeter. Well rounded with a dry finish and lingering bitterness. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a pale yellow with a corn aroma, much like a European lager. Overall a decent corn type beer that was simple and easy drinking.
