Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, würzig, grasig, leicht alkoholisch. Geschmack sehr malzig, würzig, leicht süß alkoholisch.

I've determined that I really enjoy the maibock/ heller bock style, and this example is OK, but not as good as I had hoped. Aroma is a little weak, and when it comes through is a sweet toffee smell, but has an unpleasant boozy note to it. Appearance is good color with nice white head and lacing. Flavor profile is pleasant complex slightly roasty maltiness, some fruity sweetness, but again a touch of sharp booziness in the finish. Seems out of place for a beer only 6.5% Abv. Finish is sticky and sour, unpleasant. I recommend the Dunkel bock from einbecker over this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

--> Leckerer Mai-Bock.

Flat helles bock. Malty and a bit too sweet for my taste. They may be old, but this beer isn’t great.

Copper, clear, beige head. Aroma: sweet, wort-like aroma with caramel, some breadiness and toast. Flavor: sweet with bready Munich malt flavors, toffee and caramel, a little oxidation. On the slightly sweet side.

Einbecker Mai-Ur-Bock has a thin, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, old-gold appearance, and just a film of lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet bread, but the smell is not strong. Taste is strong, however, and one gets sweet, syrupy malt, some alcohol, rich, medium-roasted bread crust, a hefty hop bitterness, and cloyingness, to an extent. Mouthfeel is medium and prickly, and Einbecker Mai-Ur-Bock finishes semi-dry, sweet, rich, and relatively easy drinking. Overall, this is a delicious beer. RJT

A slightly brown, gold-colored beer, with a regular layer of foam. Quite unusual with a bock-beer... However, it has the slightly swear alma of it. It tastes a bit sweet, and reminded me of syrup. It stays in the aftertaste, but not for long.

Draught. This is a pretty average Heller without much to set it apart. Give it a go though.

Aroma: Lightly spiced toast with some dough; maybe a little nutty. Appearance: Rich copper color with a thin bone colored head. Flavor: Matches the nose; almond and spiced bread up front with a little more toasted finish. Slightly sweet overall. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, very soft carbonation, long finish. Overall: Very nice German bock, despite the age (spring release) and the green bottle.

The appearance of the beer is a nice copper color to it with a decent head and some lacing on the glass. The smell was a little disappointing to me but I dont drink beers for their smell. The smell has some okay malty smell and some mild sweetness to it. The taste is good with some of that great malty maibock falvoring, mild sweetness on the back end that tends to fade away with the malt coming back around. The mouthfeel afterwards is decent with some of that mild maltiness lingering around but it hangs around for a while. Overall, this maibock is a decent beer, it is a nice change from my normal maibock (Hofbrau Munich which is still the best IMO) but I had higher expectations for this beer that werent completely met, but still a decent beer.
