Bottle shared at Christís post GBBF minidig 16/08/2014. Lower saxony tick. Clear golden, light orange coloured pour with a light white head. Aroma is corn, stale, slightly skunky hop and a touch of diacetyl. Flavour is corn, light honey, some mineral, hop leaf. Palate is medium sweet, lowish carbonation. Not a fan.

330 ml bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of caramel, toast, toffee, brown bread, brown sugar, honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, light nuttiness, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of caramel, toast, toffee, brown bread, brown sugar, honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, light nuttiness, and yeast earthiness. Slight earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, toffee, brown bread, brown sugar, honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness and balance of dark/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Very clean in flavor as well with very low yeast ester presence. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, fairly crisp, and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice maibock style. All around great robustness, balance, and complexity of dark/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bill Becker (404) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 25, 2014
It pours a clear 24K gold with a 1 finger head of foam. As the foam shrinks slowly, thereís plenty of lacing sticking to my glass. The smell is awesome. Roasty grainy malt at its best. Some caramel adds to the malty fun. The taste is true to the smell though thereís a touch more sweetness than I feel comfortable with. But a Bock is supposed to be on the sweet side, Bill. Itís part of the style profile. Nice mouthfeel, but for me, a slower drinker. I have to say, overall, this is a nice drop of Mai Bock.

Beautiful reddish golden transparent beer with a nice head. Smell is heavily malty with a strong apple caramel sweetness. Some clove and pepper and a touch of bitterness. Taste is bitter watery. Sweetish alcoholic with a strong fruitiness. Quite OK but a bit strong for my taste.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks troubles. An old bottle. Clear amber, white head. Malty, some cardboard aroma, bitter and a little diacetyl in the mouth. Light body, buttery finish.

Bottle shared at Chrisoís post GBBF minidig, 16/08/14. Clear golden with moderate off white spotting and edgework. Nose is pale malt, straw, light vegetals, fart, citric notes. Taste follows, bready pangs, cereals, pale malt. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Fails to deliver anything for 6.5%!

Bottle at Wunderbar. Nifty shape; havenít seen many like it before. But itís a bright, totally clear green one. The beer itself pours a clear, bright gold without much head at all, just some negligible wisps of film and a partial, razor-thin ring. Aroma of toasted and doughy malts, grass, straw, and bits of nuts and earth. The flavor is way sweeter than anticipated, just really sweet and malty; some balancing straw, earth, almond, and a dash of spice. Medium-bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and a malty, sweet mouthfeel. Not bad, but too sweet and not really my thing.
