Amber colour, off-white head. Yeasty aroma, malts and caramel. Sweet malty flavour, caramel, lightly bitter. Finish caramel and slight toasted malts. Not bad, not great.

Had this beer to long ago, just transferring from a app I was using to rate beer. As I drink these again I will add a better review.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 jodah52 (205) - Michigan, USA - JAN 10, 2012
This bock is a bit too light to be a dunkel, a bit too bitter for how little hop aroma it has, somewhat too sweet for how malty it is, and a touch too estery for a strong lager. It’s not at all bad, just a bit....off. At least from the general nitpicking perfectionism in balance and simplicity good German beers have. It pours light amber, clear, with a good but short-lived head. Aromas of pils malt, a bit of toffee, and apples. Bit of spicy hops on the breath-out. Fairly sweet without a great deal of maltiness, and very slightly sour. Bitterness is slightly harsher than most german beers (though much less than some American beers). Kind of sticky mouthfeel, though not out of line for the style. Not terrible, but I’d go with Hofbrau or Ayinger bocks if I could find them.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 POLK (1277) - Hørning, DENMARK - JAN 9, 2012
Amber color with a small white head. Malty and alcohol aroma. Flavor of malt. To strong.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 unclemattie (3240) - Georgia, USA - NOV 25, 2011
Unique shaped, green, 0.33L bottle. Immediate aroma of green bottle skunk. Copper color; thick foam, light tan head. Caramel, grass, skunky aromas. Some hints of basement aromas, and earthy leaves. Strong. Very full bodied. High ABV for what I was expecting. Robust bitterness, cardboard like. Sweet malt, toasted. A bit off balance from the harsh bitterness. Tooo strong.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 dickcheaney (20) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 24, 2011
Super clean, very smooth, malt is wonderful. Bitterness in the background with hops to match style.
