Green glass 33cl bottle pours clear amber with nice light tan head. The aroma seems at first a little bit spicy with hops and then sort of molasses covered apples and apricots with a prune like note at the end of the draw. The taste starts with a mix of caramel like malts, a decent load of spicy hops, pears, apples and peaches. Those notes work pretty well together. The spicy hops are only moderate in strength but provide a pleasing balance to the beer’s estery and malt sweetness.

Appearance is very similar to the Mai-ur-bock i had just before this. A quite sweet aroma. A dry flavorless head. The body is nice. A bit sweet, some alcohol notes, dryness near the end. Pretty good.

Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 26, 2011
0.33l bottle. This pours a clear reddish-orange body with a thin sidesticking off-white head. Aroma is really sweet and heavy malty, heavy roasted caramel and some fruits. Average carbonation, oily to sticky mouthfeeling. Quite sweet, dark malty with some pungent metallic-caramel flavors and a hint of chocolate in the finish. A bit to sweet for me to really enjoy it, but definitely drinkable as a sweet bock.

average frothy offwhite head. GL. MD. sparkling thin dark amber body. aroma: moderate malty, caramel, milk chocolate, mild coffee. if: moderate bitter. ff: light sweet moderate bitter; average duration. palate: medium body, dry texture, medium carbonation, metallic finish. surpreendente amargor lupulado permeado por levíssimo dulçor no background, lembra ervas e algumas IPA amargas, infelizmente foge bastante do estilo, mas é muito saborosa, 55 s

The aroma is malty with hints of toffee, chocolate, and caramel. The hops are there but mild and slightly hay like. The appearance is amber brown with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma with an unpleasant bitterness. The palate is average. Overall a pretty average beer.

FROTHINGSLOSH (3388) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 27, 2011
Sampled from a 12 oz green bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a small white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was light molasses, caramel and tangy dark fruits. The flavor was tangy and fruity with moderate notes of molasses and caramel and a bit of vanilla. The finish was long with molasses and fruit lingering. Moderately full bodied and fairly smooth. Decent.
