4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 janubio (236) - - OCT 14, 2011
330 ml. bottle. Beatiful amber reddish colour, no dark at all, light head that fades quickly, no lace. Smell: Am I the one who fin the typical Burton Ale sulphur here? That alongside chocolate, dark fruit and molasses. Medium body, really good palate, taste of caramel, chocolate, roasted, fruits, prunes... Really good one.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 kiwianer (763) - Mönchengladbach, GERMANY - MAY 28, 2012
Die Schaumkrone hält mittelmäßig. Geschmacklich ist es nicht so gut, ich schmecke kaum etwas. Design auch nicht gerade überwältigend. Fazit: Meiner meinung nach ziemlich schlecht aber trinkbar.

A little darker than a pale lager in a brown kindah way. Smells creamy. Taste is old bitter medicinal thing. Strong alky from the start. Robust flavors. Didn’t even notice any co2. Rude nasty nellie, does not deserve the word dunkel. Glad its over. Difficult at times.

Ar: Wet dough, a bit of coffee, a touch metallic and mossy.
Ap: Crystal-clear amber, medium off white head with moderate retention and some thin fingers of lacing.
T: Light caramel malt, a touch of toffee and butter - metallic and herbal.
P: Medium body with medium carbonation - finish is medium dry.
O: The metallic smell and flavor really detract and the beer sort of falls flat.
